vegan ground beef
Now I normally don't like using words like "beef" and "cheese" to describe vegan food. But there's no better way to put it. The seasonings of this recipe give the beef flavor. Then the combination of ground cauliflower with oyster mushrooms gives the spongy and crumbly texture of meat. Bakes in the oven to perfection!
#FAVORITE RECIPE #ADVANCED
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 large cauliflower
- 10 dark cremini mushrooms
- 1 c oyster mushrooms
- 1 medium onion
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1-1/2 teaspoons oregano
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
DIRECTIONS
1. Food processor
Gradually add everything to a food processor. Pulse a little after each big ingredient that you add. Start with the cauliflower because it will be the hardest to process. Pulse until the texture is crumbly.
2. Bake
Add everything to a baking sheet with olive oil. Bake on 300° for 1 hour. Take it out and mix everything once every 15 minutes.
